Oz Lotto Results 8 September 2026: Winning Numbers and Analysis
Oz Lotto's 8 September 2026 draw produced a single Division 1 winner, who takes home the full $8,000,000 jackpot. The draw attracted strong participation across lower divisions, with more than 79,000 prizes paid out in total. The sole top-prize winner avoided any split at Division 1 level, meaning the full jackpot went to one ticket.
The seven main numbers drawn were 8, 9, 17, 22, 29, 30, and 32. The supplementary numbers were 23, 40, and 45. Five of the main numbers, 8, 9, 17, 22, and 29, fell below 20, clustering in the lower end of the 1-to-47 pool, while 30 and 32 sat near the upper boundary of the birthday calendar range.
Division 2 returned $25,327 to each of eight winners, while Division 3 paid $2,119 across 113 entries. Division 4 produced 599 winners at $308 each, and Division 5 returned $41 to 3,623 players. The two smallest divisions, 6, saw 75,621 winners collect $24 each, accounting for the large majority of total prize payments across the draw.
Six of the seven main numbers, all except 32, fell within the 1-to-31 birthday calendar range, making this a draw that heavily favoured players who select dates. Only one number, 32, came from the under-picked zone above 31. Tickets weighted towards higher numbers would have been at a disadvantage in matching the main numbers here, and the birthday-heavy result likely meant more tickets were in contention across the lower divisions where partial matches count.
Outnumber generates number combinations weighted towards the range above 31, where player selections are statistically less common, with the aim of reducing expected prize sharing if a combination does win. The 8 September draw is a reminder that under-picked numbers do not appear in every draw. Outnumber makes no claim that this approach improves a player's odds of winning a prize.
