Powerball Results 1 October 2026: Winning Numbers and Analysis

Powerball's 1 October 2026 draw produced no Division 1 winner, leaving the $40,000,000 jackpot unclaimed. The draw was valid and fully completed, meaning the top prize simply rolled over rather than being awarded. Division 1 requires matching all seven main numbers plus the Powerball, a combination no entry achieved on the night.

The seven winning main numbers were 2, 3, 6, 10, 11, 16, and 24, with a Powerball of 14. All seven main numbers sit within the 1 to 31 range, the lower portion of Powerball's 1 to 35 main number pool. The Powerball of 14 also falls within that same birthday-calendar band.

Ten entries matched all seven main numbers without the Powerball to claim Division 2, worth $73,061 each. Division 3, requiring six main numbers plus the Powerball, paid $11,585 across 78 winners. Further down the table, 1,523 players shared Division 4 at $518 each, 2,873 players collected $207 each in Division 5, and 41,764 entries won $89 each in Division 6.

Every single main number in this draw landed between 2 and 24, making the entire result one of the most birthday-range-concentrated outcomes possible in Powerball. None of the four numbers above 31, the range statistically under-represented in player selections, appeared anywhere in the draw. Players who selected numbers in the 32 to 35 range were disadvantaged in terms of matching, but those who did match the winning numbers likely shared prizes with more people than average, given how popular low numbers are among the broader player base.

Outnumber generates Powerball number combinations weighted towards the 32 to 35 range and other under-picked selections, with the aim of reducing expected prize sharing if a combination does win. The approach does not alter the probability of any number being drawn, and no strategy can improve a player's odds of winning. The weighting is purely about potential payout size, not likelihood of success.
